With the momentum of two successful collection campaigns at the end of September, the Switlo charity is planning to bring together new donations for Ukraine. This time we will be accepting goods such as winter clothing and blankets at the Catholic and Reformed Churches in Bonstetten on October 14 and 15.
While the Ukrainian army is currently making successful progress, we from Switlo also intend to increase our performance. The situation in the recaptured areas in Eastern and Southern Ukraine after the Russian occupation is precarious. The same applies to the regions near the front. That is why we recognize the need to send more goods such as sturdy winter clothes and medicines to these areas. At the locations of the Catholic and Reformed Churches in Bonstetten, we were kindly allowed to organize collection drives on October 14 and 15. We would like to express our sincere thanks for this, as well as to the municipality of Bonstetten and Wettswil for their active cooperation.
Every contribution helps the Ukrainian people and improves the situation. We therefore ask you to inform all your acquaintances, friends and family members about this action.
We will gladly accept the following goods:
sturdy winter clothes (sweaters, thermal underwear, jackets, etc.)
blankets and pillows
sleeping bags and mats
medicines
hygiene items
Long-lasting food
We do not accept the following items:
Summer shoes (e.g. sandals)
Summer clothes (skirts, shorts, T-shirts, etc.)
Accessories (e.g. jewelry)
We ask you to deliver the donations pre-sorted if possible. This will save the local helpers and the people in Ukraine a lot of time.
Whoever can bring something can do so on Friday, October 14 from 14:00 to 19:00 and Saturday, October 15 from 10:00 to 16:00 at the Catholic or Reformed Church in Bonstetten. Here are the locations for the collection drive.
