With four collection campaigns in Cham, Wohlen, Sisseln and Dottikon within only nine days, we wanted to end the year with a large amount of collected humanitarian aid. The immense effort paid off: We were able to collect a total of almost 50 pallets and eight big bags of goods, which is equivalent to the load of one and a half trucks. The first part of the goods was sent today to the region around Kherson and the areas recently liberated from Ukraine, where the humanitarian situation is currently very precarious. Already on Friday, we will send the rest of the goods to Ukraine.

With our first collection campaign in Cham, we now organised events in three different cantons. At the same time, we expanded our network, which will help us reach more people in the future. We also broke new ground in Sisseln: for the first time, Switlo collected in Fricktal. This campaign was organised by the organisations UA-DO and Ukraine Sisseln (UKSI), which we support. Therefore, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved, especially Vladimir Volkov, from the bottom of our hearts.
Our fundraising campaigns in Wohlen and Dottikon went more than well. In Freiamt, where we have organised the most campaigns so far, we were able to reach an overwhelming number of people, also thanks to the great help of Hans-Peter Stierli. With 15 pallets and over 1000 Swiss francs in monetary donations in Dottikon alone, this was our most successful campaign since March. We are more than overwhelmed by these numbers! A big thank you therefore goes to Hans-Peter Stierli and the parish in Dottikon.

As if that were not enough, we received CHF 100,000 worth of disinfectants and a medical couch as well as three wheelchairs. These were donated by "Helfen mit Kopf Herz und Hand" of Rita Regez. Our gratitude for this generosity can hardly be put into words. These goods can and will help a great deal in Ukraine.
We want to build on these successes. Our next goal is to deliver power generators to Ukraine. These will go to hospitals, schools and other civilian infrastructure, enabling people to be protected and healthy. To achieve this goal, we are currently collecting monetary donations. We are very grateful for any support.

The next collection campaign with Switlo participation will take place in Pfäffikon SZ in a month's time, from 20 to 22 January 2023. Friday 20 January (14:00 to 18:00) and Saturday 21 January (10:00 to 15:00) in the Turmstübli and Sunday 22 January (9:00 to 10:15 and 11:30 to 12:30) in the parish office of the St. Meinrad Parish Centre in Pfäffikon (Mühlematte 3, 8808 Pfäffikon). This collection campaign is organised in cooperation with the Ukraine Support Group.
Anyone who would like to drop off donated goods in the Muri region beforehand can do so during opening hours at our partner Optitrade in Muri. Of course, we would also like to thank every single person who supports Ukraine with donations. Each and every one of them improves the lives of people at war.
